Thank you for visiting my website. Hopefully the material will not only assist you in understanding arbitration, mediation and other forms of ADR but also provide you with some details of my background.
To better understand arbitration (and other forms of ADR) I invite you to read my paper titled,”Shifting the Paradigm: Moving from Litigation to Arbitration“, as found at Chapter 3 in the recently published book titled, “A Practitioner’s Guide to Commercial Arbitration”.
As the Hon. Robert Armstrong QC said:
Arbitration is very different because in court adjudication, you never see the trial judge until the day you finally get to court. The reverse happens in an arbitration in that the arbitrator is there from the beginning.
While the majority of my practice involves arbitration and mediation, a significant portion deals with regulatory matters in health professions. My website also addresses this area.
Under Case Comments, you will find a review of selected domestic and international arbitration cases.
I’ve also included a heading titled, Helpful Resources, with the intent from time to time adding articles from various sources for the reader’s interest.
I am available for arbitration and mediation appointments across Canada, as well as outside of Canada.
Last, I invite you to contact me at your convenience should you have any questions.
